Terms for using Normal Map Generator's browser-based texture tools and related content.

Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service govern your use of normalmapgeneratorai.online, including the browser-based normal map and PBR tools, batch processing, the optional remote KIE AI material-generation workflow, its separate local preview and map conversion, tutorials, and related pages. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The tools and their intended use

Normal Map Generator provides browser-based tools that turn image or height information into texture-map starting points. The outputs are intended for prototyping, material exploration, and production workflows where you review and adjust the result in the target renderer. The AI Normal Map Generator can also send a user prompt and an optional reference image through our server-side KIE AI workflow to create a material source image before the maps are derived locally in the browser.

The tools cannot infer hidden geometry, remove every baked-lighting artifact, recover a physically accurate material scan, or guarantee that a map is correct for every mesh, shader, engine version, platform, or lighting setup. You are responsible for checking the output before using it in a project.

The free local tools and local preview do not require an account. Source images used in those local workflows are processed in the current browser tab and are not submitted to a conversion queue. The optional KIE AI workflow requires an account and available credits. When you choose it, your prompt and selected source image (an uploaded reference or the material sample shown in the tool) are sent through our server-side KIE integration to create a material image; map conversion then runs locally in your browser.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for lawful creative, educational, research, and commercial workflows. You agree not to:

  • Break or bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or technical restrictions
  • Use the site to distribute malware, harmful code, or content that violates applicable law
  • Interfere with the availability, integrity, or performance of the site
  • Attempt to access another person's private information or account
  • Misrepresent generated previews as verified scans, official assets, or physically accurate measurements
  • Use automated requests in a way that places unreasonable load on the service

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to use any image, texture, reference, or other material you process through the site.

AI content standards and safety

The detailed rules and moderation process are available in our AI Content Acceptable Use Policy. The requirements below are part of these Terms and apply whenever you use a remote AI feature.

When using the AI Normal Map Generator, you may submit only lawful prompts, reference images, and other material that you have the right to use. You must not request, upload, generate, or distribute:

  • Sexual or explicit adult content, including nudity or sexually exploitative material
  • Graphic violence, gore, instructions for violent wrongdoing, or content that promotes harm
  • Hate speech or content that targets people or protected groups for abuse or dehumanization
  • Child sexual abuse material or any sexualized content involving minors
  • Deepfakes, non-consensual face swaps, impersonation of real people, or deceptive identity manipulation
  • Copyright- or trademark-infringing material, including requests intended to copy protected work or mislead people about its source
  • Content that facilitates fraud, harassment, exploitation, illegal activity, or evasion of safety controls

Before a KIE AI generation request is sent, the user prompt is screened by the Waffo Pancake content-safety service. An allow result can continue; requests that require review or are blocked are not sent to the image provider, and they do not consume AI credits. The screening is an automated safeguard and is not a guarantee that every output is lawful or appropriate. You remain responsible for the prompt, reference image, and downloaded result. We may investigate reports and relevant technical records, but we do not claim to proactively human-review every generated image.

We may reject or remove generated content, restrict or suspend an account, revoke unused credits or other benefits associated with a violation, limit access to AI features, and cooperate with lawful requests. We may take immediate action when needed to protect users, the service, or third parties. We do not promise to preserve content that is removed or an account that is restricted.

To report suspected abuse, prohibited content, impersonation, or intellectual-property concerns, use the contact page or email support@normalmapgeneratorai.online. Please describe the issue and relevant URL or account information; do not email illegal content, passwords, payment details, or unnecessary personal information.

Your content

You retain ownership of the source images, prompts, and other content you choose to process. You grant Normal Map Generator only the permissions reasonably required to operate a feature you explicitly use. The current local conversion flow does not require us to receive or store the source image.

If you voluntarily send content in a support request or use the remote KIE AI integration, you authorize us to handle that content to provide the requested service, run safety checks, investigate issues, and maintain the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific notice.

Intellectual property

The website interface, source code, written content, branding, layouts, and original instructional materials are owned by or licensed to the site operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.

Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, Cloudflare, and other referenced products are trademarks of their respective owners. Normal Map Generator is independent and is not endorsed by those companies.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue a tool, page, export format, integration, or part of the site at any time. We may also update the algorithms, supported file types, output behavior, limits, or documentation as the product develops.

We aim to keep the site useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability, compatibility with every browser, or preservation of every generated preview. Keep local copies of important source files and exported assets.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and its outputs are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that an output will meet a particular artistic, technical, performance, compatibility, or commercial requirement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Normal Map Generator and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

The local tools remain free to use. The current paid offers are the one-time AI credit packs and Pro Workflow subscriptions listed on the Pricing page. The KIE AI workflow requires login and available credits. Each listed offer's price and billing interval are shown before payment; a charge occurs only if you continue through checkout and authorize payment. Credit packs are one-time purchases, while subscriptions renew at the displayed interval until canceled. A prompt is screened before credits are charged; if a permitted generation later fails, the service may restore the associated credits under the applicable billing logic. Refund terms are published on the Refund Policy page. A plan without an active checkout is not currently available for purchase.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when the site or its integrations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
